Back to Blogging in 2008

It has been a while since I last posted, but 2008 is a new year.

I'm evaluating a multi-media course on blogging from the folks at Simpleology. For a while, they're letting you snag it for free if you post about it on your blog.

It covers:

  • The best blogging techniques.
  • How to get traffic to your blog.
  • How to turn your blog into money.

I'll let you know what I think once I've had a chance to check it out. Meanwhile, go grab yours while it's still free.

The Oprah Show Update

I just watched a recording of the second Oprah show dedicated to The Secret. It was fascinating to see Dr. Beckwith and James Ray interact with Oprah. Oprah seemed smitten with these two men and the concepts they shared.

Most of these ideas must be "old hat" for Oprah, but she seemed genuinely taken with the elegance and conciseness with which these two gentlemen languaged these concepts.

What did you think of this follow-up show? It is rare for Oprah to do a follow-up program ... and the fact that she did it a week after the first broadcast says a lot about the importance of The Secret and how it impacted her audience.

I am pretty sure my dog knows "The Secret"

Please don't laugh....

My dog is wise. I have learned a lot from her and I must confess...I am in love with her. That's why I put together an online movie entitled "Do You Remember Love."

(You can see it at http://DoYouRememberLove.com)

I brought Maui home 14 years ago on Valentines Day...and so that makes her 98 in "dog years."

I want to invite you to check out the video I helped put together to celebrate my dog and all of her "secret wisdom"...

Enjoy and please let me know what you think by commenting in this blog--and pass it on to any dog lovers you know this Valentines week.

Oprah's show & Fishy Discounting of "The Secret"

Wow! Did you see the Oprah show today where the entire program was dedicated to The Secret?

I have been getting a lot of emails and calls from friends and associates, so I thought I would open it up here on this *brand new* blog.

Several people have contacted me asking why the DVD isn't available at a deeper discount like most best-selling movies or books.

For example, Amazon is selling the DVD for $29.95 which is only a 14% discount. That is way higher than most DVDs they sell (which are usually discounted at least 30%.)

However, this isn't the case with the book which is being distributed thru regular book distribution channels. (Amazon is selling the hardcover book at a 40% discount.)

Why not discount the DVD?

Some have suggested that there is some price-fixing going on. Others have told me that they think that Rhonda's company in Australia has gotten greedy and want to control distribution and not go thru regular distribution channels. (More traditional video distribution would remove the control from the production company to a major studio distributor.)

What do you think?

Besides the actual DVD and books, lets talk Oprah...

If you saw Oprah today, what did you think? Do you think the teachers she selected to appear were the most appropriate ones? Did they do a good job of explaining the law of attraction? Are there other teachers from the film that you think should have been included?

What is the impact of Oprah presenting this subject to such a large (and loyal) television audience?

Please post your comments below.

Interviews with Rhonda Byrne and John Gray

We put this blog together so you can comment on the interviews I did with Rhonda Byrne and John Gray.

(If you have not heard the radio interviews, please visit TheSecretFilm.com.)

The film has been so impactful to so many people and what struck me from both of these interviews is how both Rhonda and John have used the law of attraction to get their message out to the world.

Please let me know your thoughts about that or anything else that struck you (positively or negatively) from either of these interviews.

Thanks for listening.
